Created by Geoff Johns, DC’s Stargirl, or simply Stargirl, is an American superhero television series that premiered on the streaming service DC Universe. It is based on the DC Comics superhero Courtney Whitmore created by Johns and Lee Moder.

Sarah Schechter is the executive producer of the show along with Glen Winter, Greg Beeman, Melissa Carter, Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns. The first season premiered on May 18, 2020 followed by the second season on August 10, 2021. The makers have already renewed the series for a third season, which is scheduled to premiere soon.

At the end of Stargirl Season 2, we saw that as Eclipso merges Earth with the Shadowlands, the JSA are joined by Lawrence, Grundy, Pemberton, Brooks, and Thunderbolt, the last of whom repairs S.T.R.I.P.E., in fighting him, but Eclipso tries to defeat them all as well as kills Grundy.

Later, while struggling to rescue her parents, Beth as well as McNider gets help from Shade. After that, Courtney admits her hatred for Eclipso and allows him to make her his new host. But, the JSA and Starman help her regain control, and after that, Lawrence as well as Brooks weakens Eclipso before Thunderbolt turns him into a slice of toast.

The lead cast members of the first two seasons are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Brec Bassinger, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Cameron Gellman, Trae Romano, Jake Austin Walker and Meg DeLacy. We can also expect the return of Neil Jackson, Christopher James Baker, Amy Smart, Luke Wilson, Hunter Sansone, and Nick Tarabay.

Stargirl Season 3 Release Date

The official release date of Stargirl Season 3 has not been announced yet. Since the second season premiered in 2021, the third season should premiere sometime in 2022. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.

There is no confirmation about the number of episodes in the upcoming season. However, we can expect that the new season will also consist of 13 episodes like the first two seasons.
