Written by Nick Hornby and directed by Stephen Frears, State of the Union is a comedy television series. Hornby and Frears are also the executive producers alongside Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.
The show is produced by Amy Jackson and See-Saw Films. The first season of the series premiered on May 6, 2019 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It was followed by a second season on February 14, 2022. It currently holds an approval rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Although there is no official confirmation on if State of the Union has been renewed for a third season, it should be continued considering the positive response towards the first two seasons.
Louise and her husband understood that they would no longer glue their marriage together. They agreed to go to a professional but they were afraid of something incomprehensible. They were either embarrassed to talk about themselves or were uncomfortable revealing problems in front of each other. In order to gather some courage, they went to a pub before session.
After drinking, they willingly shared their lives with a specialist. Now this scheme has become a ritual for them. They were not afraid to go to the reception since they had a good drink in the bar. They possibly don’t need a therapist if they always have a beer in hand.
Coming to the cast, the makers have not revealed anything. The first season had Rosamund Pike and Chris O’Dowd in the lead roles, and the second season had Brendan Gleeson, Patricia Clarkson and Esco Jouley.
State of the Union Season 3 Release Date
The developers are yet to officially announce a third season. However, since the second season ended on February 2022, the show should get renewed by this year and should premiere sometime in 2023.
