Straight Up Steve Austin on USA Network shows retired WWE professional Steve Austin (better known by his ring name, Stone Cold Steve Austin), traveling across the country along with a celebrity guest. Steve and his guests share stories of their lives, as they travel and have adventures together. The first season of the show aired on August 12, 2019. The season consisted of seven episodes, featuring a new guest in every episode. It ended on September 17, 2019. The show is produced by Line by Line Media. Steve Austin serves as an executive producer on the show, along with Dave Barsky.
Straight Up Steve Austin was renewed for a second season on January 10, 2020.
Season 2 of Straight Up Steve Austin – What we know so far
Straight Up Steve Austin was 2019’s number one new unscripted cable series in the Men 18-49 and Men 25-54 category. After a successful first season, USA renewed the show for another season in January 2020. The second season will consist of eight episodes. Each episode will have a run time of thirty minutes, like the first season.
The second season will follow the same format, a new celebrity guest in every episode, traveling together with Steve, and sharing stories about their lives and careers, while taking part in unique adventures. The USA describes the show as “a unique twist on the standard interview show, with no studio, no couch and no cue cards — just a straight-up good time and good old-fashioned American fun.”
Steve Austin provided an update on season 2 on the Stone Cold podcast in February 2019, saying this-
“We’ll be heading back here [The Broken Skull Ranch] in about a day or two. To start work on projects, start work on Straight Up Steve Austin here in about a month and a half. I’m looking forward to this season.”
The guest list of season two is yet to be revealed. Steve Austin on his podcast had said that the new season might air sometime in August 2020, and the official page of the show on USA’s website also states that the new season will be airing “this summer”.
