Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is a science fiction horror drama television series produced for Netflix. The Duffer Brothers are also the executive producers alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, Matt Thunell, Karl Gajdusek, and Iain Paterson.

The first season premiered on July 15, 2016 and it has received highly positive reviews from critics. Critics have mostly praised the characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing, writing and homages to the 1980s films. The fourth season is scheduled to premiere this year and it has been already renewed for a fifth season.

Stranger Things Plot and Cast

Stranger Things has been confirmed to end with Season 5. Although the show has introduced different creatures, threats and a dimension about which we know very little, there is a limit up to which the series can cover.

The show seemed to be heading towards an end in Season 2 but still there are a few questions and mysteries that it must solve before signing off. Even though the Upside Down is the main setting in the series, everything about it is still a mystery and there is a lot to know about the experiments Eleven and the other kids went through under Dr. Brenner’s supervision.

A major risk that the show has faced since the beginning is overstaying its welcome and stretching the story to unbelievable and tiring lengths, showing that it cannot run beyond a fifth season.

For now, the plot details for the next season remains unknown as the fourth season has not yet premiered and it is set for release in two volumes on May 27 and July 1, 2022. So, whatever happens in Season 4 would set up the events of Season 5. Also, it remains to be seen who would be killed or who would survive in the new season to predict who might return in Season 5.

Stranger Things Season 5 Release Date

Stranger Things Season 4 is just a month away from release. The fourth season was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic and took a long time for release.

However, the pandemic restrictions are slowly being removed and considering that, we should expect the fifth season to release sometime in 2023 or 2024.
