Created by The Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things is a science fiction horror drama television series produced for Netflix. The Duffer Brothers are also the executive producers alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Cindy Holland, Brian Wright, Matt Thunell, Karl Gajdusek, and Iain Paterson.

The first season premiered on July 15, 2016, and it has received highly positive reviews from critics. Critics have mostly praised the characterization, atmosphere, acting, soundtrack, directing, writing and homages to the 1980s films. The fourth season is scheduled to premiere this year and it has been already renewed for a fifth season.

Stranger Things has been confirmed to end with Season 5. Although the show has introduced different creatures, threats, and a dimension about which we know very little, there is a limit to what the series can cover.

Even though Upside Down is the main setting in the series, everything about it is still a mystery and there is a lot to know about the experiments Eleven and the other kids went through under Dr. Brenner’s supervision.

A major risk that the show has faced since the beginning is overstaying its welcome and stretching the story to unbelievable and tiring lengths, showing that it cannot run beyond the fifth season.

Stranger Things Season 5 will be the final season of the show, but it won’t be the end of the Stranger Things universe. The makers are reportedly planning a few spin-offs.
