Stranger Things has been confirmed to end with Season 5. Although the show has introduced different creatures, threats, and a dimension about which we know very little, there is a limit to what the series can cover.

The show seemed to be heading towards an end in Season 2 but still, there are a few questions and mysteries that it must solve before signing off. Even though Upside Down is the main setting in the series, everything about it is still a mystery and there is a lot to know about the experiments Eleven and the other kids went through under Dr. Brenner’s supervision.

A major risk that the show has faced since the beginning is overstaying its welcome and stretching the story too unbelievable and tiring lengths, showing that it cannot run beyond the fifth season.

Stranger Things Season 5 will be the final season of the show, but it won’t be the end of the Stranger Things universe. The makers are reportedly planning a few spin-offs.
