What the show is all about
After the Asia version of Street Food came out last year, Netflix has traveled west this time and we have the brand new version of this delicious travel/food show, Street Food: Latin America. The show not only focuses on the cuisines but also the people; the people that make the show what it is. It showcases a wonderful picture of what the culture is all about, and how the food has all glimpses of the people’s culture who prepare this delight.
Street Food is a six-part series covering five major cities in South America, and one in North America. Buenos Aires (Argentina), Salvador (Brazil), Oaxaca (Mexico), Lima (Peru), Bogota (Colombia), and La Paz (Bolivia) feature on the show. It not only showcases the food culture but also the local culture of the cities that feature on the show, highlighting how the culture has influenced the cuisine in the past and the present both.
Watching Street Food is definitely going to want to make you pack your bags immediately and fly to the west to experience these delicacies yourself. It exposes us to these six wonderful cities, their culture, their people, and most importantly, their food. The fact that all of us have been locked inside our homes for the better part of this year due to the circumstances outside makes the urge to travel and have all of this delicious food even stronger.
