Written by Ben Richards and Tom Edge, Strike is a British crime drama series based on the Cormoran Strike detective novels written by J. K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The show is directed by Susan Tully along with Michael Keillor, Kieron Hawkes, and Charles Sturridge.

Ben Richards, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts, J. K. Rowling, Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Tom Edge, and Tommy Bulfin are the executive producers of the show. The series premiered on 1 June 2018 in the United States on Cinemax and in Canada on HBO Canada under the title C. B. Strike. C.B. Strike: Lethal White premiered on 20 January 2021 on HBO.

Strike Plot and Cast

The series will take the plot forward from the fourth season, which ended on an interesting note. While dealing with the case of the disappearance of a girl decades ago, Cormoran and Robin also get entangled in far-left British politics. Their personal lives will also be a focus of the plot.

As each series of Strike has followed the events of a Strike novel, it’s almost certain that a fifth series of the TV show will tell the story of the Troubled Blood book. The synopsis for Troubled Blood, teases that Cormoran Strike will take on his first-ever cold case after he’s approached by a woman whose mother went missing more than 40 years before.

The expected cast members of the upcoming season include Kerr Logan as Matthew Cunliffe., Ben Crompton as “Shanker”, Natasha O’Keeffe as Charlotte Campbell., and Killian Scott as D.I. Eric Wardle., Ann Akin as Vanessa Ekwensi, Sargon Yelda as D.I. Richard Anstis and Caitlin Innes Edwards as Ilsa Herbert.

Strike Season 5 Release Date

J.K. Rowling finally rolled out her fifth book in the series in September 2020, titled “Troubled Blood”. For now, wecan assume that the fifth season is already under production.

However, we have to wait for some time until we get to see the fifth season of Strike. We can expect it to release sometime towards the end of 2022.
