Stumptown Season 2 – Is it happening? Recent Updates
Stumptown was renewed for a second season in May, 2020. The series was part of the fall 2020 schedule that ABC had announced in June. However, production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic meant that new episodes could not have been ready before schedule, and would only be possible by April of next year. Due to this reason, ABC cancelled the series in September 2020.
However, the studio behind the series, ABC Signature, are hoping that the series will get picked up by some other network. Stumptown had a good first season, and developed quite a lot of fan following after its first season only. The fans had also started a #SaveStumptown campaign on Twitter, in support for the show. It only remains to be seen whether Stumptown will be picked up by another network or a streaming platform or not.
