Netflix has adopted the highly popular Millarworld comics into an anime series called Super Crooks! The original comics were created by Mark Millar and Leinnil Francis Yu. It was known as Supercrooks: The Heist. Netflix had acquired the entire Millarworld catalogue and Super Crooks will be the first of many projects to come. Also, there are other titles in development. Therefore, fans have a lot to look forward to. The first season will have 13 episodes. Each one will be 13 minutes long. But it is not known whether there will be any more seasons in the future. However, seeing how highly anticipated the show is, we can definitely expect more to come.
Super Crooks: Plot and Cast
Johnny Bolt is a ragtag small tine crook who gathers together a crew of super-villains to pull off a major heist. The aim is to rob a powerful criminal boss. Not much details are known about the plot of the show. What we do know is, Johnny wants to help the Heat, the most beloved super crook of all time pay off his huge debt. Hence, he puts together a team of recruits to rob the world’s most infamous supervillain. The story thus follows them on this adventurous and risky heist.
The series is being directed by Motonobu Hori, while Millar is on board as a producer. The Japanese voice acting cast of the show includes Kenjiro Tsuda, Maaya Sakamoto, Pierre Taki, and Junichi Suwabe. Hiroshi Yanaka and Yasushi Kimura will also be featured. As for the English dub, we have Jonah Scott, Abby Trott, Beau Billingslea, and Jason Marnocha. Doug Stone and Bill Rogers are also in it.
Super Crooks: Release Date and Official Trailer
Super Crooks will premiere on Netflix. It is set to arrive on the platform on 25th November 2021. All the episodes will be available all at once. Therefore fans can have binge-watching the show! Watch the trailer for Super Crooks here.
