The corona pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has had a very bad effect on the entertainment industry. Most of the shows that were in production were interrupted. Currently, all shows have been put on hold and have been delayed. The situation about their progress can only be speculated. The series “Supergirl” which was already in shooting at that time has also been unfortunately interrupted and it seems writers are busy cooking up some other ending, differing from what was originally planned.
Supergirl is a popular superhero series based on DC Comics character Supergirl. It was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino. Supergirl is Superman’s cousin and is one of the last surviving of the people of Krypton. Melissa Benoist plays the leading role in the series. Jon Cryer plays as villain Lex Luthor in the fifth season.
The series was developed by Ali Adler, Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kreisberg. The show originally aired on 26 October 2015 and is currently in the fifth season. The season has also been renewed for a sixth season as well bringing much joy to fans all over the globe.
Changes and twist expected
According to Jon Cryer who played the antagonist role in the fifth season of Supergirl as Lex Luthor, some changes will be made for the finale episode of the series. He believes that the writers of the show have made changes with a specific focus on the villain’s fate. Originally it was planned that his character would be defeated in that episode but now the writers of the show have added something different to it.
John Cryer is actually happy for his character’s fate being rewritten and according to him “Supervillains, we relish our chance to actually not be defeated every now and then.”
Well, it seems in this the villain seems to have the last laugh.
