It is set in the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with the other television series of the universe. The season is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner serving as showrunners.

Most of the main cast will be returning. On the show, we will be seeing Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers / Supergirl.
