The outbreak of the virus has affected the production as well as the post-production of the entertainment industry. New releases are being canceled, and the plans are being changed. And hence, we do not have any choice but to binge-watch the old golds. However, it seems like the DC folks have some other plan. It’s time for the DC animated movies to get a fresh start. And no doubt, they are going to bring the charming persona, Superman.
DC Universe lists a total of 20 animated original movies and most of them is a sequel to one another; starting from Justice League: War, Superman: Man of Tomorrow might give rise to a whole new set of sequels. Butch Lukic is the new supervising producer for these DC movies, with Chris Palmer directing Man of Tomorrow, and writings by Tim Sheridan. The movie is all set to release on August 23, 2020, and September 8, 2020, on Blu-ray.
According to the DC Universe,
It’s the dawn of a new age of heroes, and Metropolis has just met its first. But as Daily Planet intern Clark Kent – working alongside reporter Lois Lane – secretly wields his alien powers of flight, super-strength, and x-ray vision in the battle for good, there’s even greater trouble on the horizon. Follow the budding hero as he engages in bloody battles with intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo and fights for his life to halt the attack of power-hungry alien Parasite. The world will learn about Superman … but first, Superman must save the world!
Back in July 2019, the film was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, and in May 2020, the voice cast was revealed for the film. Darren Criss will be doing the voice-over for Superman, Alexandra Daddario for Lois Lane, Zachary Quinto for Lex Luthor, Ike Amadi for Martian Manhunter, Ryan Hurst for Lobo, Brett Dalton for Parasite, Neil Flynn for Jonathan Kent, Bellamy Young for Martha Kent and many more.
