Survivor is a reality competition television franchise and it is derived from the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson created by Charlie Parsons that premiered in 1997. The series premiered on 31st May 2000 on CBS and is hosted by television personality Jeff Probst. He is also the executive producer of the show with Mark Burnett and the original creator Charlie Parsons. Survivor has been a huge success and the first 11 seasons were rated among the top ten most-watched shows. The show has also been nominated for Emmy Awards in various categories.

The show has been consistently in the top 20 most watched shows in the first 23 seasons. Each competition is termed as season and runs between 13 to 16 episodes. The first season named Survivor : Borneo was broadcast as a summer replacement show in the year 2000 and starting from Survivor : Africa, two seasons are aired during every U.S. television season. There was a 75 person crew in the first season and the crew increased to 325 people by Season 22. There has been a total of 590 contestants throughout 40 seasons of Survivor.

Release Date of Survivor Season 41

Production of Season 41 and 42 were delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Fiji’s Ministry of Commerce and Trade approved the production of Season 41 in February 2021. Survivor Season 41 will be filmed in Fiji and till now, the makers have not yet confirmed the release date of Survivor Season 41. Gold Derby says that the show tends to film two seasons in the same summer before their broadcast in the fall and spring. Season 41 of Survivor can be expected sometime in 2021.

The cast details of Survivor Season 41 has not been revealed but since the filming of Season 41 has already started, it is for sure that the contestants have been already chosen. For now, fans can expect to see the usual host of the show, Jeff Probst.
