Created by Reggie Rock Bythewood, Swagger is an American sports drama television series. The show is loosely inspired by the experiences of current NBA player Kevin Durant. Bythewood is also an executive producer of the show along with Kevin Durant, Brian Grazer, Rich Kleiman, and Samantha Corbin-Miller.

The series premiered on October 29, 2021, on Apple TV+. Swagger has garnered critical acclaim from critics for its writing, acting, production values, and social commentary. In June 2022, the series was renewed for a second season.

Swagger Plot and Cast

The makers have not revealed anything about what would happen in Swagger Season 2. However, it will definitely continue from where the first season ended. The show is inspired by the life of Durant and focuses on the trials and tribulations that someone faces in the world of youth basketball with the ambitions of reaching the professional level.

The basic synopsis of the show follows Jace Carson, a star player that is among the best basketball players in the country. To achieve his dream of reaching the NBA, Jace joins a training program developed by Ike, a former star player turned youth basketball coach. The characters build a close bond that goes beyond the sport of basketball as Carson deals with problems on and off the court while coming face to face with a world that judges people by skin color.

The lead cast includes O’Shea Jackson Jr., Isaiah Hill, Shingle Azoroh, Tessa Ferrer, Quvenzhane Wallis, Caleel Harris, James Bingham, Solomon Irama, Ozie Nzeribe, Jayson Rivera, and Tristan Wilds.

Swagger Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Swagger premiered in October 2021 and it was later renewed for a second season. Considering everything, the second season should premiere by the end of 2022.
