American sports drama television series, Swagger is created for Apple TV+ by Reggie Rock Bythewood which is based on the experiences of current NBA player Kevin Durant. Swagger focuses on a world of basketball where the youth is involved and their family members and coaches are equally involved in it as they try to manage everything between dreams, ambition, corruption, and opportunities.
Bythewood is also the executive producer of the series along with Kevin Durant, Samantha Corbin-Miller, Rich Kleiman, and Brian Grazer. The series debuted on October 29, 2021.
Swagger Season 2 Release Date
Apple renewed the series for a second season on June 15, 2022, but the specific release date is yet to be announced. But it is expected that since the series renewed in 2022, the new season will release in late 2023 or early 2024.
It is expected that the upcoming season of Swagger will also have the same number of episodes just like the first season but it is yet to confirm it officially. The series is produced by Undisputed Cinema, CBS Studios, Imagine Television, and Thirty Five Ventures.
Swagger Plot and Cast
There is nothing much available about the second season of Swagger but would continue following the events of the first season. It is based on Durant’s life and it shows the struggles of a person in the basketball field as he tries to become an expert. The storyline follows Jace Carson and is aiming to play for the NBA and joins a training program established by the coach Ike. The characters eventually get linked to each other along with Carson fighting with his own problems in a world where people are judged based on skin color.
Now, talking about the cast which includes O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Ike “Icon” Edwards, Quvenzhané Wallis as Crystal Jarrett, Tessa Ferrer as Meg Bailey, Shinelle Azoroh as Jenna Carson, Isaiah Hill as Jace Carson, and many more are there.
