Sweet Tooth Season 2: Release Date, Cast and more!

Streaming service Netflix is bringing the all-new season of Sweet Tooth. It is an American fantasy drama television series based on the comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire and premiered on Netflix on June 4, 2021. In July 2021, the series was renewed for a second season.

The show is developed by Jim Mickle, who is also the executive producer with Susan Downey & Robert Downey Jr., Amanda Burrell, Linda Moran, Beth Schwartz.

Sweet Tooth Season 2: Plot and Cast

Sweet Tooth’s second season would need to pick up where the first left off, as Gus and his fellow hybrids fell into the clutches of the villainous General Abbot and scientist associate Dr Singh.

That is a bad news since the unhinged military man wishes to dissect the children as he believes they hold the cure for the plague that has wiped out humanity somewhere in their DNA.

Meanwhile, Bear has finally managed to make contact with Gus’ mother – long thought to be dead – who is revealed to be exiled to Alaska, the very place where the sickness is thought to have originated.

As the mysteries of this apocalyptic pandemic continue to loom large and the outcome of Jepperd and Aimee’s rescue is yet to be seen, there’s plenty for executive producer Susan Downey to explore in season two.

The main cast includes Nonso Anozie as Tommy Jepperd/Big Man, Christian Convery as Gus/Sweet Tooth, Adeel Akhtar as Dr Aditya Singh, Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear/Rebecca Walker, Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden.

We will also get to see Neil Sandilands as General Douglas Abbot, Naledi Murray as Wendy, Will Forte as Bubba, Amy Seimetz as Birdie, James Brolin as the Narrator in recurring roles.

Sweet Tooth Season 2: Release Date

The makers of Sweet Tooth have not yet revealed an official release date for Season 2. However, we can expect it to release towards the first half of 2023.

The upcoming season is confirmed to have eight episodes. It will be streaming on Netflix and users can purchase a subscription which is available at a rate of Rs. 149 to Rs. 649.
