Release Date of Taboo Season 2
The first season of Taboo was quite a success, garnering positive critics as well as audience reviews. Season 2 has been dearly awaited by ardent fans of the series, ever since the show was renewed in 2017. Steven Knight, the writer of Taboo, first said that the series might begin filming in 2018, but that did not happen, owing to the busy schedule of actor Tom Hardy. Since then, Taboo has been constantly delayed, and has been in a sort of a hiatus. On the potential storyline for season 2, Steven Knight said this-
“In my mind, explosive stuff is going to happen, which will be great. There’s a great destination for it, but I don’t know if we’re in a position to talk about the actual details of it.”
In 2019, Steven Knight provided another update, but a disheartening one this time. He said that the second season might not begin filming until 2020. And then the coronavirus pandemic halted the filming of all television shows and films across the world. The second season of Taboo has no official release date as of now, and fans can only hope that more updates on the much-awaited season 2 are provided soon.
