We believe that if words aren’t enough to express our emotions, music does the deed. And we are often reluctant to express our feelings when it comes to our parents. That’s what might have come to Tarah Who?’s mind while composing his latest song, “La petite Boche: Un Amour De Guerre”.
“La petite Boche: Un Amour De Guerre” is a little token of appreciation for Tarah’s mother. Not only is the song filled with love, but also perfectly combined with guitar and drum rhythms. Tarah and her mother share a musical connection, thus “La Petite Boche: Un Amour De Guerre” is the right opportunity for Tarah to express her love for her mother. The song’s title was inspired by her mother’s childhood nickname, “la petite boche.”
Being the daughter of a German soldier and a French mother, Tarah’s mother was often called “la petite boche” by her classmates. Which basically translates as “the little German”. “La Petite Boche: Un Amour De Guerre” reclaims the insult and recasts it in terms of adoration.
Tarah adds, “one of our hobbies was listening to music.” My mother used to tell me about the bands she used to see live, and I used to tell her about the bands I discovered. As a child, you never know what will stand out. But, in retrospect, that is one of the most impactful moments.”
