Created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn, Tehran is an Israeli spy thriller series created for Israeli public channel Kan 11. It was written by Zonder and Omri Shenhar and directed by Daniel Syrkin.
The series premiered in Israel on June 22, 2020, and September 25 internationally on Apple TV+. On January 26, 2021, it was announced that the series had been renewed by Apple TV+ for a second season and it is scheduled to premiere soon.

Tehran Season 2 Plot and Cast
Even though the plot details for Season 2 remains unknown, it focuses mainly on a Mossad agent, who goes on an undercover mission in Tehran, Iran’s capital city.
Tamar is an agent and computer hacker born in Iran but raised in Israel. She is tasked with infiltrating an electric company to cut power to Iranian air defenses, after which an Israeli air attack against Iran’s nuclear power plant will be undetected. The mission goes terribly wrong and ends in a race against time.
Tamar’s with Zhila is noticed and investigated by Fazar. With Fazar following her, Tamar must find a way out of the country, need help from both family, friends and strange acquaintances
Now talking about the cast, we would get to see Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub and Navid Negahban. Other actors include Shervin Alenabi, Liraz Charhi, and Menashe Noy. Glenn Close has also joined the cast of upcoming season.
Tehran Season 2 Release Date
The new season of Tehran will be released through Apple TV+ on May 6, 2022. However, the number of episodes for this season has not been revealed yet.
Several online reports say that the first two episodes would be released on the premiere date and the rest might be released on a weekly basis.
