What is the recent update?
With the series releasing on May 20, 2020, Jason has also announced a potential spin-off. This confirms the presence of The 100 on CW even after the closure of the final season. In October, Jason announced that he is currently working on a prequel to The 100 that will serve as a backdoor pilot for the upcoming series. It will be set in the period- some 97 years back from the original series. It will begin from the nuclear apocalypse that demolished the whole of Earth. The prequel would air on The CW.
