Created by Netflix, The Accidental Narco is an upcoming South Korean streaming television series. It is written by Yoon Jong-bin and Kwon Sung-hui. Jong-bin is also the director of the show.
Production for the series was scheduled to start in the Dominican Republic in 2021 and was initially delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although it was planned to happen in Korea, filming for the series happened mostly in the Dominican Republic for around two months, starting in November 2021.

The Accidental Narco Plot and Cast
The developers have not revealed much about the plot of The Accidental Narco. According to the official synopsis, it will follow the life-threatening journey of Kang In-gu, a civilian businessman who has no choice but to cooperate with the secret operation of the National Intelligence Service to catch Jeon Yo-hwan, the Korean drug lord who has taken control of Suriname.
Coming to the cast, we will get to see Ha Jung-woo, Hwang Jung-min, Jo Woon-jin, Park Hae-soo and Yoo Yeon-seok in the main cast. The supporting cast members include Choo Ja-hyun and Chang Chen. The rest of the details shall be revealed in the upcoming few months.
The Accidental Narco Release Date
The Accidental Narco has been produced with an estimated cost of around ₩35 billion. Although the makers have not revealed anything officially, it has been confirmed for now that the show will premiere sometime in 2022.
The new show has been confirmed to have six episodes and the rest of the details shall be disclosed soon. The series is produced by Moonlight Film and Perfect Storm Film Inc.
