The alternative Online Events for E3 2020: Details and Schedule!

Though E3 might cancel its expo this year, there are still chances to enjoy the events through different platforms. For instance, Steam will release demos of gameplay for many games that are hosted by Summer Game Fest. Also, IGN’s Summer of Gaming and Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest has planned for loads of game releases and other announcements.

To keep the gamers engaged and as an alternate for E3, Xbox, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and other such publishers have released their summer show plans. Though we still don’t know what PlayStation and Nintendo have in store for us, EA will host its annual Play Event in June as usual. Also, Ubisoft is yet to release its upcoming list of game titles in June, and Xbox, through Xbox Series X will reveal its game party sometime in July. So, this summer gaming event is going to be exciting and enthusiastic.

Now, with so many releases and announcements, it is obvious to miss out on a few events. So, here’s a list of all the events with detailed information about the same.

IGN Summer Game Event

The IGN Expo that will probably run the whole of June has an inclusion of the PC Gaming Show and the Guerilla Collective Indie Games Showcase.

IGN Expo – June 5, 8, and 9 :

This will have an exclusive reveal of a few games, the footage of gameplays, and developers giving interviews about their games and updates, etc.

Guerrilla Collective Indie Games Showcase – June 6-8:

This event starts on June 6 at 1 pm ET. This digital event has promised to feature announcements from different Indie Studios like Paradox Interactive, Humble Publishing, etc.

PC Gaming Show – June 6:

This event, at 3 pm ET, will feature the E3 PC show that is arranged by PC Gamer.

Upload VR Showcase – June 8:

This event brings you all information and updates about the Virtual Reality games. The timing is TBA.

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire – June 11:

This event is brought to you to CD Projekt Red. This will have a special broadcast on the Cyberpunk 77 and the timing is yet to be announced.

EA Play – June 11:

This event will happen by 7 pm ET where Electronic Arts reveal a new set of games.

Marvel’s Avengers War Table Stream – June 24:

The timing is yet to be announced but this event will have announcements about the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers by Square Enix.

Summer Game Fest

The events will be held between May and August with loads of game reveals, discussions and Q&A with developers, etc.

Steam Game Festival – June 9-14:

Just like E3, gamers will be able to play a demo of a few games for the upcoming game titles on PC but without lines.

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire – June 11:

This event is brought to you to CD Projekt Red. This will have a special broadcast on the Cyberpunk 77 and the timing is yet to be announced.

EA Play – June 11:

This event will happen by 7 pm ET where Electronic Arts reveal a new set of games.

Developer Showcase – June 22, and June 20 (TBA):

This event will have information on the upcoming large scale and other independent projects.

Tennocon 2020 – July 11:

Warframe fans and players can tune in to this show as Digital Extremes will pour in updates about the game. And the time is yet to be announced.

Ubisoft Forward – July 12:

This event will have Ubisoft featuring game news and other reveals at 3 pm ET.

Alternative Online Events for E3 2020:

The events are scheduled for June and July.

PS5 Games Reveal Event – June 3:

Bloomberg reported that the next-gen games for PlayStation 5 will be hosted by Sony on the 3rd of June. Since this information is not officially announced by Sony, there can be inevitable changes in the schedule.

Paradox Insider – June 6:

This is a 30-minute event where Paradox Insider gives the upcoming updates of the games – Empire of Sin, Crusader Kings 3, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The show will premiere by 2:30 pm ET.

Future Games Show – June 6:

GamesRadar, this year will be hosting its own games lineup. The event will premiere some information bigger project titles as well. But the agenda is not yet announced. The show will stream by 5:30 pm ET.

World of Warcraft Shadowlands Update – June 9:

World of Warcraft’s executive producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas will join live from their places to discuss some new content about the upcoming expansion of the game. The event will premiere at 12 pm ET.

New Game+ Digital Expo – June 23:

This event will be hosted by SNK, Arc System Works, Sega, and Koei Tecmo where their digital shows will be streamed. The event will premiere by 12 pm ET.

Xbox 20/20 First-Party Games Showcase – July:

The first-party game titles will be showcased by Xbox Series X and it is confirmed by Xbox. This includes the console’s flagship game, Halo Infinite.

Devolver Digital: 

Since E3 2020 has been canceled, Devolver has planned a list of broadcasts to host. But the management and arrangements are still pending to take a proper shape.

Nintendo Direct:

Nintendo has canceled its usual yearly Direct Event that happens in June. But Venturebeat and Eurogamer Nintendo has reported that Nintendo will choose a different date.
