The Bachelorette is a dating and relationship reality television series on ABC. The series first premiered on January 8, 2003, as a spin-off of The Bachelor. The first season of The Bachelorette saw the runner-up from the first season of The Bachelor being offered the opportunity to choose a husband among 25 bachelors. The show took a three-year hiatus from 2005 till 2008, and returned to ABC in the spring of 2008.

Chris Harrison is the host and presenter of The Bachelorette. 15 seasons of The Bachelorette have aired so far, with the show being renewed for season 16 in August 2019.

The Bachelorette Season 15 – Ratings and Reviews

Season 15 of The Bachelorette premiered on ABC on May 13, 2019. The season featured 24-year old interior designer Hannah Brown on her quest to find a husband among 30 potential suitors. The season ended on July 30, 2019. Jed Wyatt was declared as the winner in the end. The season had an average demo rating of 1.54 in the 18-49 category, and an average of 5.769 million viewers across the 13-episode season. The numbers are marginally down from the previous season, by an approximate figure of 2.5%. However, the series had already been renewed for a 16th season in August, 2019.

The Bachelorette Season 16 – Recent updates and Premiere Date

Clare Crawley will be the bachelorette on season 16 of the show. She has previously been seen on season 18 of The Bachelor, seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, and on Bachelor Winter Games. The list of suitors for season 16 of The Bachelorette was also recently revealed.

Filming of season 16 was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was scheduled to begin in March, 2020, but was postponed due to the situation at that time. Filming then resumed in July, 2020, and took place at an isolated resort instead of being filmed at the Bachelor mansion. Season 16 of The Bachelorette was earlier scheduled to premiere on May 18, 2020, but was postponed. It is now scheduled to premiere on October 13, 2020.
