The Second Wave follows the coronavirus outbreak in New York City as it spreads in an unforeseen and lethal second wave. It tracks Rachel (McDonald) and Lily (Schilling), two neighbors, as they navigate life in quarantine in New York City. While Rachel juggles her telemedicine clients and a fragile, passionless marriage, Lily is upstairs trying to persuade her Wall Street clients that her very unique skillset is just as important over video as it is in person. We track these two women as they face extraordinary times when balancing their lives, loved ones, and possibly…the end of the world when an unforeseen, lethal second wave of the virus arrives.

The Bite, Robert, and Michelle King’s satirical COVID drama premiering on Spectrum on Friday, May 21, 2021, will feature similar sci-fi absurdity.
