The Boys season 2 is coming back with a bang on Amazon Prime Video and fans are thrilled. Season 2 of this series was renewed by Amazon even before the premiere of season 1. The show is a medley of different genres, black comedy, thriller, drama, and action. We have everything we want from a superhero web series packed in The Boys. Developed by Eric Kripke and networked by Prime Video, this first season received positive reviews and was rated 8.7/10 on IMDb. The superhero series is based on the comic book titled The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
Release Date and Trailer of Season 2:
The Boys season 2 will premiere on Prime Video on September 4th 2020. But it won’t drop all the episodes at once. The first three episodes will be aired together on September 4th. And after that, we’ll have to wait for the next episode each Friday. And finally, The Boys Season 2 finale will air on October 9. Season 1 premiered on July 26th 2019 and is comprised of 8 episodes.

The Plot of The Boys Season 2:
The official synopsis goes like “In a more intense, more desperate Season 2 of The Boys, Butcher, Hughie and the team reel from their losses in Season 1. On the run from the law, they struggle to fight back against the Superheroes. As Vought, the company that manages the heroes, cashes in on the panic over the threat of Superhvillains, and a new hero, Stormfront, shakes up the company and challenges an already unsteady Homelander.” Season 2 will pick up right where we were left at season 1 and proceed with new a line.
We expect to see individual character development and the relationship between the major characters in season 2 of The Boys.

After the release of the trailer, we know that the regular cast from season 1 will be back, along with some new faces. We have Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Antony Starr as John / Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Annie January / Starlight, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Laz Alonso as Marvin T. Milk / Mother’s Milk, Chace Crawford as Kevin / the Deep, Tomer Capon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir.
The other cast members are Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Giancarlo Esposito as Mr Edgar, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Aya Cash as Stormfront, Shawn Ashmore as The Lamplighter and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.
