Unfortunate that we couldn’t enjoy the much-anticipated movies in theatres and need to resort either to the OTT platforms or drive-in premiers. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying our part of the entertainment. 2020 witnessed a number of great releases and had been great with the genre of thrillers and rom-com(s). And we are yet again ready for another rom-com this time, The Broken Hearts Gallery, a film written and directed by Natalie Krinsky, in her directorial debut. Selena Gomez serves as the executive producer.
"A love letter to empowering female friendships, crafty creation & NYC’s eccentricities, #TheBrokenHeartsGallery doesn’t so much subvert expectations as it does live up to them, gifting us a fresh, vibrant romcom." My review via @FreshFictionTV: https://t.co/NBhrLD7QTy
The Broken Hearts Gallery is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on September 11, 2020. In the month of June this year, TriStar Pictures and Stage 6 Films acquired distribution rights to the film and set it for a July 10, 2020, release. But thanks to the COVID-19, the film got pushed further to August 7, and eventually to September 11. Now, if this date too gets delayed, then it might take the help of the online platforms.
The official description of The Broken Hearts Gallery on the website of Sony Pictures goes like this, “the film follows the always unique Lucy, a 20-something art gallery assistant living in New York City, who also happens to be an emotional hoarder. After she gets dumped by her latest boyfriend, Lucy is inspired to create The Broken Heart Gallery, a pop-up space for the items love has left behind. Word of the gallery spreads, encouraging a movement and a fresh start for all the romantics out there, including Lucy herself.” The film also asks an important question to all of us- “What if you saved a souvenir from every relationship you’ve ever been in?” The Broken Hearts Gallery is sure going to be a hell of a ride. The trailer says so much about the vibe of the movie, and yet impeccably hides the actual storyline.
Who are in the movie?
