The Chase is a British quiz show. Bradley Walsh is the host of the grand game show. The contestants have to give the correct answers in order to win the big cash prize. Is it not fun to get paid for answering correctly?! ITV network is telecasting the show since its series 1.
The Chasers
The game show has six “Chasers” who will chase the contestants and not let them win the cash prize. The six chasers starring Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis. The only one of the six Chasers participates in a single episode exception are special episodes.
The Chase – Game Rules
In the first round, the contestants have to collect the don’t for their teams’ prize fund with the two rounds. Round 1 is “Cash Builder” where the contestants have to answer the questions as correctly as much as possible to get a cash reward of 1000 pounds. Round 2 is “Head-to-head” where the contestants have to go through a seven-step board. They have to deposit the money collected in the team bank “home” without getting caught by the chaser.
If the contestants reach the “home” and deposit the money in there they get to play further. “The Final Chase” brings us to the end of the game.
The Final Chase
The last round allows the contestants to choose one of the two question sets. The other one is for the chaser. Then the team gets a chance to answer the questions, as many as possible using the buzzer. The chaser is given two minutes to catch the contestants. he has to answer questions from the other unused set.
If the chaser is unable to catch the team, the team won and they split the collective cash prize equally. If the contestants get caught in Round 2 but one of them chosen for the Final Chase wins they get 1000 pounds each.
