Plot:
After a cop comes across a confused and bloodied young man wandering down the street, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren embark on one of the most spectacular cases of their careers. The Warrens are thrown into a supernatural investigation unlike any they’ve ever seen before when a murder suspect claims demonic possession as his defence.
The case involves the primary characters of the horror franchise, Ed and Lorraine Warren (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), who were the ones who started a paranormal investigation that allegedly led to Johnson’s possession. Johnson is played by Ruairi O’Connor (“The Spanish Princess”). The young kid whose soul Ed and Lorraine are trying to save is played by Julian Hilliard (“Haunting of Hill House”). Sterling Jerins, the daughter of Ed and Lorraine also returns.
