The Cuphead Show: Release Date, Plot and more!
Created by Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, The Cuphead Show! is an animated television series developed for Netflix. The series is based on the run-and-gun shooter video game Cuphead by Studio MDHR.
The video game was launched back in 2017 on Microsoft’s Xbox platform and was loved by the gamers for its difficulty level. Around 4 million units of the game were sold and it is currently available for download on Nintendo Switch and Mac devices.
Netflix greenlit the series in July 2019 with Chad and Jared Moldenhauer as the executive producers alongside Clay Morow and Adam Paloian as supervising directors. It is animated by Lighthouse Studios with music composed by Ego Plum.

The Cuphead Show: Release Date and Plot
The first season of The Cuphead Show! is scheduled to release on February 18, 2022 on Netflix. Prior to the release of Season 1, it was renewed for a second and third season on January 25, 2022. However, the first episode will consist of 12 episodes.
The synopsis provided by Netflix mentions:
“The character-driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.”
The show will travel deeper into the world of Cuphead and audiences would get to know more about the world’s colorful world and characters. The series will also retain the most popular art style inspired by the 1930s Fleischer cartoons.
The Cuphead Show: Cast and Trailer
Tru Valentino will offer his voice for the lead character Cuphead along with Frank T. Todaro as Mugman. The main cast also includes Grey Griffin, Luke Millington Drake, Joe Hanna, Clancy Brown, Jim Conroy and Wayne Brady.
