Written by Tom Moran, The Devil’s Hour is an upcoming drama thriller television series. Produced for Amazon Prime Video, Moran is also the executive producer alongside Sue Vertue and Steven Moffat.
The show is produced by Hartswood Films and its development was announced back in December 2019. Amazon greenlit the series in June 2021 and casting for the series began the same month. Many popular faces from the entertainment industry have been cast in the lead roles.

The Devil’s Hour Plot and Cast
The series will follow a troubled mom Lucy, played by Jessica Raine, who is tormented by nightmares and wakes up every night at 3:33 a.m. at a time when nobody ever wants to go downstairs and investigate strange occurrences. However, things change when her visions appear to be connected to a series of brutal murders and a potential serial killer.
Lucy’s son is withdrawn and emotionless. Her mother speaks to empty chairs and her house is haunted by the echoes of a life that is not her own. Now her name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her in all these years will finally come into focus.
Coming to the cast, the actors playing the lead roles include Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi, Nikesh Patel, Meera Syal, Alex Ferns, Phil Dunster and Barbara Marten. Others who have been cast in supporting roles include Cecilia Blair, Thomas Dominique, Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty, John Alastair, Sandra Huggett, Benjamin Chivers, Jimmy Walker and Kim Allan.
The Devil’s Hour Release Date
The makers of the show have not announced a release date for The Devil’s Hour. Filming for the series began on June 22, 2021 in London and at Farnborough Studios in Hampshire.
For now, we can expect the series to release sometime in 2022. However, it has been confirmed that the show will consist of six episodes.
