Developed by Danny Brocklehurst and Sunu Gonera, The Driver is an upcoming American television series based on the BBC One series of the same name. Brocklehurst and Gonera are also the executive producers of the show alongside Giancarlo Esposito, Josh Kesselman, David Morrissey, Danny Sherman, and Theo Travers.
It was announced on March 8, 2022, that a television series adaptation of the BBC One series. It is set to premiere on AMC in 2023.

The Driver Plot and Cast
The U.S. series comes from creators Danny Brocklehurst and Sunu Gonera and showrunner Theo Travers. It stars Esposito as Vince, a taxi driver whose life is turned upside down when he agrees to chauffer the New Orleans-based Zimbabwean gangster “The Horse” (Zackary Momoh), a man notorious for exploiting undocumented immigrants at the U.S. southern ports.
Coming to the cast, Ulrich will play Colin, an old acquaintance of Vince (Esposito). It’s a version of the character played by Ian Hart in the original series.
The Driver Release Date
The makers have not revealed much about the show yet. However, we can expect to be out in 2023.
