Hello, Readers! Tubi has acquired The Freak Brothers Season 1, an animated stoner sitcom starring Woody Harrelson and John Goodman. Tubi, a part of FOX Entertainment, has announced the premiere of the first two episodes of its first-ever original animated series. The upcoming sitcom is based on Gilbert Shelton’s cult classic underground comic series The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers.
WTG Enterprises is the series producer, and Lionsgate, the world’s largest multimedia distributor, is the series’ distributor. The Freak Brothers is Tubi’s first foray into adult animation, and the business wants to expand its adult humor library in the coming months.
Ray Vaughn, a TDE recording artist, wrote and performed the show’s theme song. The music for The Freak Brothers was produced by Anthony ‘Top Dawg’ Tiffith, the Grammy award-winning producer and founder of TDE, who is also an executive producer on the series alongside Mike Concepcion.
The Freak Brothers Season 1: Release Date
The first two episodes of the animated series will premiere on November 14, 2021. Season one’s extra episodes will be released on Sundays, one every week, until the finale on December 26.

Woody Harrelson, Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner John Goodman, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Tiffany Haddish, and Pete Davidson are among the voice cast members.
Harrelson plays the laid-back Franklin Freek, a man-child. Goodman plays fat Freddy Freekowtski, Davidson plays paranoid Phineas T. Phreakers, and Haddish voices their sardonic cat Kitty.
Chuck is spoken by Adam Devine, and Charlie is voiced by Blake Anderson. They’re a couple of pot connoisseurs who are always on the lookout for the next side business, and they have gold hearts concealed beneath their unclean exteriors.
