on

The upcoming American comedy-drama film written and directed by Wes Anderson, The French Dispatch, which is scheduled to release on October 16, 2020, after several cancellation and delay of official release dates. This movie is going to be special especially for indie movie lovers. The story is written by Anderson, Roman Coppola, Hugo Guinness, and Jason Schwartzman. The film will focus on the French foreign bureau of a fictional Kansas newspaper. The original name of the featured film is quite a long one: The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun. The movie was supposed to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, but thanks to the outbreak of the virus, such a colorful event had been canceled.

The official description of The French Dispatch goes like this, “A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in ‘The French Dispatch Magazine’“. But well,  a lot of details surrounding Anderson’s latest directorial effort remain under wraps. However, the movie’s backdrop is going to be in 1950s France and Paris as the setting. Wes Anderson has something to say about his new work,

The story is not easy to explain. It’s about an American journalist based in France who creates his magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write. It’s not a movie about freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters you also talk about what’s going on in the real world.

The French Dispatch has got some very talented and gold artists and this assures that the movie is going to a great and memorable one. It is going to star Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Steve Park, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and many more.
