Will The Goldbergs return with season eight? Let’s find out about The Goldbergs Season 8: Release Date and more Updates!
The Goldbergs is an American period sitcom television series. It premiered on September 24, 2013, on ABC. Adam F. Goldberg created the series. It stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jeff Garlin, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, and George Segal. Adam F. Goldberg, Seth Gordon, and Doug Robinson produces the show. It is all based on Goldberg’s childhood and family in the 1980s, complete with a childhood version of himself. On May 21, 2020, ABC renewed the series for an eighth season.
The Goldbergs
The Goldbergs is set in the 1980s in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania and shows the reality of the ’80s through a preadolescent’s, and later in the series, teenager’s, eyes. The show is loosely based on the showrunner’s childhood, during which he regularly videotaped events – many of these videos are reenacted throughout the program, with the original version then shown before the end credits.
The series stars Jeff Garlin as patriarch Murray and Wendi McLendon-Covey as matriarch Beverly. Their two older children are Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and Barry (Troy Gentile). The youngest child, Adam (Sean Giambrone), documents his family life with his video camera. Beverly’s father, Albert “Pops” Solomon (George Segal), is frequently around to provide advice or to help out his grandchildren (often behind his daughter’s back).
The present-day “Adult Adam” (Patton Oswalt) narrates every episode as taking place in “1980-something”. The show’s episodes are frequently built around the era’s pop culture in a non-chronological order, and each season contains references from throughout the decade.
Many references to real-life Philadelphia-area businesses are made, including the Wawa convenience store chain, Gimbel’s department store, Willow Grove Park Mall, and Kremp’s Florist of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Additionally, several 1980s cultural icons guest star as themselves on the show and a number of figures from Goldberg’s actual life guest star as fictional characters.
The Goldbergs Season 8 Official Release Date
The production stopped in March 2020. For now, there is no confirmed date for the release of The Goldbergs Season 8. The manufacturers have not yet shown the airing date. But we can predict that the series will enter anytime next year. So, it’s quite a way to go.
The Goldbergs Season 8 Official Trailer
At this moment, the official trailer is not available but we can anticipate that the trailer will come out in 2021. So, we assume it is going to be a long wait.

The Goldbergs Season 8 Storyline
Recently, The Goldbergs cast appeared at the Comic-Con@Home’s panel, where Wendi McLendon-Covey talked about the seventh season finale. It centered on the wedding. However, Wendi and other casts in the panel haven’t revealed anything about whose wedding it was. The other casts at the panel included Hayley Orrantia (Erica), Sean Giambrone (Adam), and Troy Gentile (Barry).
It prior set as the season’s finale. Now it’s unsure whether this wedding event would be portrayed somewhere in between the eighth season or not. But, there’s a high possibility that the finale event would shift to the eighth season finale. As we all know, the wedding event focused on the tribute to the 1980s cinema. So, there’s no chance that the eighth season would begin with this.
