ABC has announced that it will be renewing The Good Doctor for a season 4! The show which became a super hit medical tv-series released its first episode in 2017. Ever since 2017, the creators of this show have been delivering amazing seasons for the past three years with superb content!
The show which is inspired by a Korean Drama of the same name gained popularity for its storyline. The story of The Good Doctor follows the life of a young autistic surgeon with savant syndrome. The show depicts his daily struggles and the judgement he faces in his career. As he is an autistic doctor in the show, the series shows the hesitancy of the patients being treated by him.
This show wonderfully addresses the sensitive issue of how people deal with challenged individuals. The struggles and constant judgement these people have to face. How there emotional and mental well being is compromised because of the treatment given to them. Shaun, played by Freddie Highmore who is the autistic doctor constantly strives to prove his worth and to fit into the society.
He is shown to be determined, hard-working and a gifted human being. His characteristics are an inspiration for us because even after being challenged he puts in unwavering efforts to tackle all that is thrown at him.
The cast of the show includes Freddie Highmore as Dr Shaun Murphy, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr Neil Melendez, Paige Spara as Lea, Antonia Thomas as Dr Claire Browne, Christina Chang as Dr Audrey Lim, Hill Harper as Dr Marcus Andrews, and Richard Schiff as Dr Aaron Glassman.
The dates for season 4 have not been released yet however we will not be seeing Nicolas Gonzalez as Dr Neil Melendez and Jasika Nicole, who played the role of Dr Carly Lever in season four. No official trailer for season 4 has been released yet, however, you can watch the three-season on Hulu or Amazon Prime.
