The Hardy Boys Season 2: Plot, Cast, Trailer, Release Date, and More!

“The Hardy Boys” are back for a second season of mystery solving. Corus Entertainment-backed producer-distributor Nelvana and Lambur Productions, who produce the show, have greenlit a second season. There is a total of 10 episodes and they are 1 hour each. Moreover, Hulu had picked it up for the U.S. and Canadian kids’ broadcaster YTV.

The Hardy Boys Season 2: Plot and Cast!

Picking up six months after the events of season 1, the next chapter of “The Hardy Boys” finds Frank and Joe tackling another complicated mystery. Furthermore, it happens when a local Bridgeport teen goes missing and a shadowy corporation moves into town.

“The Hardy Boys” novels were first published in 1927 and have been updated for new generations of readers over subsequent decades. There have been five television adaptations of the original IP thus far, with Nelvana producing a short-lived series back in 1995 before resurrecting the program for the streaming era.

The show, which is shot in Canada, stars an all-Canadian ensemble cast, including Rohan Campbell (“Mech-X4”) as Frank Hardy and Alexander Elliot (“Detention Adventure”) as Joe Hardy. Additional returning cast members include Keana Lyn as Callie Shaw, Bea Santos as Aunt Trudy, Adam Swain as Chet Morton, Atticus Mitchell as J.B. Cox, Riley O’Donnell as Biff Hooper, Cristian Perri as Phil Cohen, and Janet Porter as Laura Hardy.

In the new trailer, Frank (Rohan Campbell) and Joe Hardy (Alexander Elliot) are enjoying the tranquillity of life in Bridgeport, six months after investigating the murder of their own mother and uncovering a conspiracy involving a secret society and a powerful ancient artefact. However, peace won’t last long, as the Hardy boys will investigate the possible kidnapping of a classmate who disappeared in the forest. The trailer also shows a supernatural being wearing an animal skull with horns over its face, and teases that this creature is responsible for the boy’s disappearance in the woods.
