The Hype: Release Date, Cast, Trailer and More!

Hello, Readers! When it comes to finding a new fashion show to be obsessed with, The Hype has you covered. The series, which will be hosted by Complex’s Speedy Mormon, will pit ten designers against one another in a streetwear competition with a cash reward of $150,000.

The individual challenge prize of having a winning look published on StockX, the world’s largest streetwear reseller. However, streetwear is more than just a business. It’s a way of life and culture. As a result, designers will be expected to bring not only their eye to each task but also their sense of history and awareness of what is happening on the street.

The Hype: Release Date

The competition will begin on August 12th. However, just the first three episodes of the series will be available to stream, rather than all eight. On Thursdays, new episodes will be released.

If you’re on the west coast and searching for a late-night binge, The Hype will premiere on August 12 at 12:01 a.m. PT. For east coast fashionistas, that is 3:01 a.m. ET.

What is this about?

The competition allows ten streetwear fans the chance to compete in a series of tasks that explore the fashion industry, design, and current trends.

However, to win, the contenders will need Offset, Bephie Berkett, and Marni Senofonte’s co-signs. From design to styling, each judge has made its mark on the streetwear market. They know what’s trendy and what’s not because they’re huge names in the industry, so these designers will need to bring their own flavor to the competition to stand out in a crowded field.

Who’s in it?

Along with rapper Offset, the show teases a slew of special appearances. Cardi B, A$AP Ferg, and Wiz Khalifa are among the artists confirmed to participate in the trailer. Along with Offset, Roc Nation co-founders Jay Brown and Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith will co-produce. Beth Birkett, who has worked with celebrities such as Beyoncé and Lauryn Hill, will also serve as a judge.
