The L Word: Generation Q Season 3: Release Date, Plot, and more!

Created by Ilene Chaiken, Kathy Greenberg, and Michele Abbott, The L Word: Generation Q is a drama series, produced for Showtime. It was first aired on December 8, 2019.

This is a sequel series to The L Word, which aired on Showtime from 2004 to 2009. The first season of the series was released on December 8, 2019, followed by the second on August 8, 2021. The series was then renewed for a third season in February 2022.

So, when is the third season releasing? What is the plot? Who would return to reprise their roles? Keep reading to know further details.

The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 Release Date

Season 3 of The L Word: Generation Q returns on November 20, 2022, and will drop new episodes every Sunday thereafter. The number of episodes for the third season has not been confirmed yet since it has been different in the first two seasons.

Ilene Chaiken is the executive producer alongside Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, Leisha Hailey, Steph Green, Allyce Ozarski, Kristen Campo, Marja-Lewis Ryan, and Maisha Closson. In February 2022, the series was renewed for a third season.

The L Word: Generation Q Plot and Cast

The second season ended with a ‘love triangle’ cliffhanger as Tina showed up at Bette’s door while she was on her way out to go after Pippa. Even if both of them seem clueless about the situation, Pippa, everyone in the show, and we can all see what’s going on between Bette and Tina.

Bette is still head over heels in love with her ex. In the meantime, a complicated Alice discovers an engagement ring in Tom’s pocket. Sophie and Finley’s relationship is also on the rocks because of Finley’s drinking. Season two ended with everyone’s lives in crisis.

Not one of them is currently happy and healthy. If someone is in a happy relationship, it’s Gigi and Dani, but that too looks like a crisis, as Dani got arrested for her father’s doings. The L Word: Generation Q Season 3 will follow the complicated and messy love and sex lives of this group of friends. Since Bette and Tina have things to resolve, we will see more of the original cast of The L Word in Season 3.

Now talking about the cast, all of the series regulars will return for Season 3 of Generation Q. Among them are Jennifer Beals as Bette Porter, Katherine Moennig as Shane McCutcheon, Leisha Hailey as Alice Pieszecki, Arienne, Mandi as Dani Nunez, Sepideh Moafi as Gigi Ghorbani, and Leo Sheng as Micah Lee.

We will also get to see Vanessa Estelle Williams as Pippa Pascal, Jacqueline, Toboni as Sarah Finley, Rosanny Zayas as Sophie Suarez, Jordan Hull as Angelica (Angi) Porter-Kennard, Freddy Miyares as Jose, Donald Faison as Tom Maultsby, and Jamie Clayton as Tess Van De Berg.
