Hello, Readers! Prepare to kick, punch, flip, dance, jab, and split when Netflix’s action-comedy picture starring Jean-Claude Van Damme hits theatres in July. The Last Mercenary is a French action comedy film directed by David Charhon and written by Charhon and Ismael Sy Savane.
The plot revolves around a former secret service agent whose son has been suspected of criminal behavior, placing him in jeopardy. To assist his son, the former spy must travel to France.
Van Damme plays the world’s most famous mercenary, who emerges from hiding to save his estranged son in The Last Mercenary. The film is set in France and features an amazing cast of European actors.

What is this about?
When his estranged son is wrongfully convicted of guns and drug trafficking by the government as a result of an overzealous bureaucrat’s gaffe and a mafia operation, a mysterious former secret service agent must return to France immediately.

Who’s in it?
The film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme in the lead role, with Alban Ivanov, Assa Sylla, and Samir Decazza rounding out the supporting cast. Several European actors have yet to appear in many Hollywood films.

Eric Judor, a French comedian, will star in the film. Judor is a member of Eric and Ramzy, a prominent French combo. Miou-Miou, a French actress who won the César Award for Best Actress, will also participate in the film, as will renowned French actor and director Michel Cremades.
