Created by Guido Iuculano and Davide Orsini, The Law According to Lidia Poet is an Italian television series. The series is loosely based on the life of Lidia Poet, Italy’s first modern female lawyer.
Matteo Rovere and Letizia Lamartire direct the series. Rovere is also the executive producer of the series alongside Paolo Lucarini. The series is renewed for a second season which will be released soon.

The show is set in Turin in 1883 where an appellate court declared that Linda Poet’s enrollment in the albo degli avocati is illegal and she is restricted from practicing. She discovers a job at her brother Enrico’s law firm and prepares an appeal to change the court’s ruling.
The cast of the series included Matilda De Angelis as Lidia Poet, Eduardo Scarpetta as Jacopo Barberis, Pier Luigi Pasino as Enrico Poet, Sinéad, Thornhill as Marianna Poet, Sara Lazzaro as Teresa Barberis, and Dario Aita as Andrea Caracciolo.
The Law According to Lidia Poet Season 2 Release Date
The Law According to Lidia Poet debuted on February 15, 2023, and received a good response from the critics and audiences. The series won the Best Crime Series award at the Nastri d’Argento Grandi Serie Award in 2023.
The developers have renewed the series for another season in June 2023. But the release date has not been confirmed yet.
