Directed by Michael Chaves and written by Akela Cooper, The Nun 2 is an upcoming American gothic supernatural horror film. New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster Productions, and The Safran Company are the production companies involved with the film.
The upcoming film is considered as the sequel to The Nun (2018) and the ninth installment in The Conjuring Universe franchise. The basic premise of the film follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force of Valak, the Nun.

The Nun 2 Plot and Cast
The basic premise of the show focuses on a nun named Sister Irene, who travels with a priest named Father Burke to investigate a nun in a Romanian monastery who took her own life. They find that Valak has been the entity haunting the abbey and she also takes control of anyone who resides there. Since Valak was not completely defeated by the end of the first film, this will lead to a new face-off in the upcoming sequel.
Coming to the cast members, it includes Storm Reid as Lisa, Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene, Anna Popplewell as Kate, Katelyn Rose Downey as Sophie, Bonnie Aarons as Valak / the Nun, Jonas Bloquet as Maurice “Frenchie” Theriault, and many more are there.
The Nun 2 Release Date
Filming was originally scheduled to start on September 5, 2022, but it got delayed for some reason and began in France on October 6, 2022.
The upcoming film is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema in the United States on September 8, 2023.
