Fans of romcoms will be delighted to know that The Royal Treatment is coming soon to Netflix! The romantic comedy film is directed by Rick Jacobson and stars Laura Marano and Mena Massoud, two popular Disney leads. It was filmed in New Zealand and focuses on the meeting between a New York hair stylist and the prince of Lavania. Thus the premise is quite a fresh and interesting one. With both of them being the polar opposite of each other, sparks begin to fly as soon as they meet. The screenplay was written by was written by Holly Hester and production was handled by Marano. The plot synopsis shared by Deadline reads as follows:

“The story follows Isabella and Prince Thomas. Isabella runs her own salon and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, while Prince Thomas runs his own country and is about to marry for duty rather than love. When Izzy and her fellow stylists get the opportunity of a lifetime to do the hair for the royal wedding, she and Prince Thomas learn that taking control of their own destiny requires following their hearts.”

Laura Marano (The Perfect Date) and Mena Massoud (Aladdin) play the hair stylist and the prince respectively. The cast list also includes Jen Van Epps, Chelsie Preston Crayford, Jacque Drew, and Cameron Rhodes. Thus with such big names involved, the movie has generated quite a lot of buzz and hype.
