The Sandman Plot and Cast
The makers have not disclosed anything on what would happen in The Sandman Season 2. The series premiered a few months ago and was renewed recently, there is no clarity on what would happen in Season 2. However, it is confirmed to continue from where Season 1 ended.
Coming to the main premise, it follows Morpheus, the personification of dreams and one of the seven Endless, is captured in an occult ritual in 1916. After being held captive for 106 years, Dream escapes and sets out to restore order to his realm, the Dreaming.
The main cast members of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles in Season 2. This includes Tom Sturridge, Boyd Holbrook, Vivienne Acheampong and Patton Oswalt. Season 2 might bring new characters, which means new cast members would be brought in.
The Sandman Season 2 Release Date
The first season of The Sandman was released on Netflix on August 5, 2022. The series was renewed for a second season in November 2022 and it is expected to premiere by 2023.
The new season is expected to have eleven episodes like the first season. The series is produced by PurePop Inc., The Blank Corporation, Phantom Four, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
