Directed by Jason Winer, The Santa Clauses is an upcoming American Christmas comedy miniseries. The Santa Clause has now become a spin-off series on Disney Plus which picks up where the movie franchise left off. The executive producers of the show are Tim Allen, Richard Baker, Jack Burditt, Kevin Hench, Rick Messina, and Jason Winer.

On January 14, 2022, Disney confirmed that Allen would reprise his role in a limited series, initially titled The Clauses. It was released on November 16, 2022, and got renewed for a second season.

The Santa Clause telly series joins Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) as he is about to reach his 65th birthday. His Santa duties are finally taking their toll on him and he’s not as efficient as he once was. Plus, he feels his family could benefit from life outside the North Pole, especially his daughter Sandra (played by Tim Allen’s real-life daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick) who is lonely with no other humans for company.

However, with his elves, the world’s children, and Christmas depending on him, he must make sure he chooses the right successor for the role before he can prepare his family for their next adventure. The Santa Clauses Season 2 is expected to pick up the story from where it left off in the first season.

The expected cast for the upcoming season includes Tim Allen as Scott, Kal Penn as Simon Choksi, Austin Kane as Buddy, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Calvin-Claus, Matilda Lawler as Betty, Rupali Redd as Grace Choksi, Devin Bright as Noel, David Krumholtz as Bernard, Eric Lloyd as Charlie Calvin and more.

The Santa Clauses Season 2 Release Date

No The first season of the show was released on November 16, 2022 and it has consisted of six episodes in total. In December 2022, the show has been renewed for a second season.

However, the makers have not revealed any specific release date for the second season yet. We can expect it to be out in the fall of 2023.
