The premise of the science fiction medical comedy is set in the year 14002 at the Ergulon Galaxy. It focuses on two female surgeons, Drs. Sleech and Klal have been looking after patients with illnesses that are uncommon including alien parasite that feeds off the cortisol of the host alongside a patient trapped in a time loop. They even deal with their personal and professional lives at the same time.
The cast of the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed but for now, we expect that all the stars from the previous season will feature again. The stars from the first season included Stephanie Hsu as Dr. Sleech, Keke Palmer as Dr. Klak, Natasha Lyonne as Nurse Tup, Kieran Culkin as Dr. Plowp, Maya Rudolph as Dr. Vlam, Andrew Dismukes as Matt, Gary Anthony Williams as Flork 1, Lennon Parham as Flork 2, and Sam Smith as Dr. Azel.

The writing process for the second season started when Season 1 was in production. The creators intended to make it a single show with 16 episodes and were planning to bring a third season if they could explore the rest of the characters.
