Created by Steven Moffat, The Time Traveler’s Wife is an upcoming science fiction romantic drama series. It is based on the novel of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger.
Moffat is also the executive producer of the show alongside Sue Vertue, Brian Minchin and David Nutter. The series was ordered by HBO in 2018 and the production companies involved with the series will include Hartswood Films and Warner Bros. Television. The show is being distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution.

The Time Traveler’s Wife Plot and Cast
HBO described The Time Traveler’s Wife as an intricate and magical love story adapted by Steven Moffat from a novel by Audrey Niffenegger and directed by David Nutter. It focuses on the story of Clare and Henry and a marriage with a problem – time travel.
Meanwhile, the novel follows Henry DeTamble and Claire Anne Abshire. The former is a librarian with a genetic disorder causing him to involuntarily travel through time and Claire is his wife and an artist who has to deal with his absences. Henry’s problems causes issues in their relationship but also allows the pair to get to know each other in ways most of the real life couples are never compelled to explore.
Talking about the cast of the new series, we will get to see Rose Leslie, Theo James, Desmin Borges, Natasha Lopez, Michael Park, Jaime Ray Newman, Taylor Richardson, Peter Graham, Kate Siegel, Josh Stamberg, Chelsea Frei, Marcia DeBonis, Will Brill and Spencer House in the lead roles.
The Time Traveler’s Wife Release Date
The Time Traveler’s Wife is scheduled for release on May 15, 2022. The makers have not renewed it for another season and the decision will be entirely dependent on the success of Season 1.
Rose Leslie and Theo James were cast in February 2021 followed by the casting of Desmin Borges and Natasha Lopez in April 2021. Filming for the series started in May 2021 in New York and Chicago and ended in October 2021.
