The Umbrella Academy Season 4: Release Date, Cast and more!

Created by Steve Blackman, The Umbrella Academy is an American superhero streaming television series based on the comic book series of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. It revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an imminent apocalypse.

The first season was released on Netflix on February 15, 2019. That same month, the series was renewed for a second season, which was released on July 31, 2020. Both seasons received positive reviews from critics. The third season was released on June 22, 2022 and it has been already renewed for a fourth season.

The Umbrella Academy Plot and Cast

The makers have not exactly revealed what would happen in Season 4. But we can be assured about a fact that it will continue from where the third season ended.

In the third season the siblings realize their actions in the past created a new timeline and returning to 2019 is vastly different where they have been replaced by another Hargreeves superhero group adopted by Reginald, dubbed “The Sparrow Academy”. They also have to find a way to stop a kugelblitz from consuming and destroying the universe created as a result of the grandfather paradox the siblings caused through their time-travel.

The main cast members who would be back for Season 4 includes Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castenada, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min and Rita Arya. Since it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.
