The Umbrella Academy: Season Update

The Umbrella Academy is an American superhero television series. It is based on a comic of the same name written by Gerard Way. The series created for Netflix by Steve Blackmen. The show has a total of two seasons up till now. Here is what you need to know about your next Netflix binge!

The Umbrella Academy: Plot

The plot of the show is very unique and intriguing. Set in a theme of the 1980s where on 1 October 1989, 43 women simultaneously give birth. Surprisingly none of them showed the signs of pregnancy till the labor began. Out of all these children that were born seven of them were adopted by the eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves and turns them into superheroes.

Hargreeves did not give names to the children instead give them numbers. They are later names by their robot mother, Grace who names them Luther, Deigo, Allison, Klaus, Five, Ben, and Vanya. Six of them are put to work by Hargreeves to fight crime in the world while Vanaya is kept away from them as she shows no power of her own.

Starring Elliot Page as Vanya, Tom Harper as Luther, David Casteneda as Deigo, Emmy Raver as Allison, and Robert Sheehan as Klaus. The role of Sir Hargreeves is played by Colm Feore.

Season 1 Summary

In the first season, we see the story set in the present day where Luther is part ape, Allison is a famous actress, Vnaya is a violinist, Klaus has a drug addiction, Ben is deceased and is a ghost communicating with only Klaus and Diego. Reginald is dead and everyone gathers for his funeral. Five comes from the future and warns about the future apocalypse. Meanwhile, they try to find the secrets about their dysfunctional family and come face to face with their powers.

Season 2 Summary

In the second season, we see the Umbrella Academy going back in time to save the world from the apocalypse. The time travel went wrong and they all end up in different years. While being hunted by a trio of Swedish assassins, Five must find and reunite his siblings who have made new lives following their arrival, in order to stop this new apocalypse

Season 3 update
