The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios alongside Rafe Judkins as the showrunner. Prior to the release of Season 1, it was renewed for a second season in May 2021 and it is scheduled to premiere soon on the streaming platform.

The Wheel of Time Plot and Cast
When makers were questioned about the plot of Season 2, hey said that it will be bigger than the first season. Vernon Sanders gave a promising response to his fans who are eager what would happen next.
Since there are 14 novels in the original series, there are a lot of things that could be explored in the upcoming seasons. Season 1 was based on the first book, The Eye of the World and there is a possibility that the new season would cover the second book, The Great Hunt.
Considering the dark betrayal in the end of Season 1, things might not be so good for Mat. Speaking to EW after the finale, Rafe said about the character’s surprising journey in the next season. He said that the characters would be peeling back the surface and try to understand what balance between dark and light they are all trying to find within themselves.
Coming to the cast, we might get to see Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoe Robins, Madeleine Madden, Josha Stradowski and Marcus Rutherford in the lead roles. There is a possibility that Donal Finn, Kate Fleetwood, Priyanka Bose, Hammed Animashaun, Sophie Okonedo, Kae Alexander and Fares Fares might return in the upcoming season.
The Wheel of Time Season 2 Release Date
The Wheel of Time was renewed for another season a long time back. However, considering the visual effects of the show and the time needed to complete them, we can expect the new season to release by 2023.
However, the makers have recently confirmed that the second season would also have eight episodes like Season 1. Other changes in the cast and crew have not been announced yet.
